A primary objective of PREVNet is to translate and disseminate empirically based up to date knowledge from researchers and research centres to homes, schools, and communities across the country. Collaborations within PREVNet involves bi-directional processes whereby science informs practice and practice informs science. Researchers work with NGOs and governments to exchange and translate knowledge to develop education, assessment, intervention, and policy tools made readily available to multiple audiences through online tools.

Consequently, PREVNet has created toolkits (i.e., educational materials), as well as research summaries, which briefly outline the findings of recent research papers in an accessible format. These summaries will provide access to new scientific information that is usually published in journals and not directly accessible to front-line workers or highlighted in the popular media. Research summaries are organized into one of PREVNet's four pillars: education, assessment, intervention, and policy. By bridging science and practice through knowledge transfer and developing social and health promotion initiatives for children and youth involved in bullying and victimization we can work together to make a more safe and respectful society for our children.
